Our History
We began building docks and hiring someone else to drive our piles. When it was no longer possible to depend on others, we decided that in order to concentrate on dock building we would have to have our own pile driving rig.
In the spring of 2021 we gathered all the necessary equipment and went to work. From our observations of different dock builders, we determined the best methods and equipment to get the job done. We are proud of our equipment and its ability to get the job done right.
We strive to provide service in a timely manner ⎯ no need to wait months or years for your dock.
Locally Owned - Family Business
Carolina Dock Construction is a locally owned and run family business operating solely on Lake Wylie in North Carolina and South Carolina. We specialize in dock construction and pile driving. We work under our corporate entity of Mike Todd Construction, Inc. We are licensed and insured in North Carolina and South Carolina.
Our Team
We are a family run business. Together we make a first rate team, striving to produce your desired results in a timely manner.
Mike Todd is the president and has an unlimited general contractor license in North Carolina as well as a general contractor and marine license in South Carolina. Mike has an active role in sales and construction and is on the job working along with our crew and always available to the customer, answering any questions or concerns.
Nicholas Todd joined the family business in 2021. He is active in construction and supply procurement.
Julia Todd runs the office and keeping up on all the behind the scenes details.
